Social Point Headlines @ Desymfony Day 2014

I’m proud to announce that Social Point is sponsoring deSymfonyDay 2014, the most important Symfony event in the hispanic community and one of the most important in the world.

The conference kicks off tomorrow, Saturday 31 May at the Casa Convalescència, Calle Maria Claret 171, Barcelona.

As a technology company that builds several of our server side systems using Symfony, the team here at Social Point is really committed to supporting the community, encouraging our developers to share new ideas and expertise, and contributing to the growth of Symfony in Spain and the whole developer community in general.

Last year Social Point became a Platinum Sponsor of deSymfony. Several team members attended the event, and four Social Pointers gave talks on Symfony and the technologies we use to power Social Point games

This year, Sergio Moya and I will be sharing some Social Point sauce at Desymfony Day 2014.

Over the last few months, our development team has been adding other technologies to our stack, however we still believe that PHP (and Symfony in particular) is a core to building scalable and efficient HTTP services that serve several millions of daily users.

In this context, Sergio will be kicking the conference off with a talk on DDD concepts and how to apply them to a Symfony project.

And I will be taking "DIC to the limit", a presentation that covers our experiences building big Symfony projects that share common dependencies between them.

Everyone had a great time in Madrid last year. We learned a lot and we had the chance to talk with a lot of people in our industry.

In this edition, we're delighted to be in our lovely Barcelona, and we are sure you all will have great time again.

Come see us at Casa Convalescència and chat with our team of backend and analytics engineer. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
